The firm helps public and private companies raise equity and debt capital and evaluate strategic alternatives across domestic and cross-border transactions, including venture and crossover financings, private placements, Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), registered direct offerings, PIPEs, reverse mergers and reverse takeovers (RTOs), and in- and out-licensing transactions.

Tom Masterson is a capital markets and investment banking professional with more than 30 years of experience across the public and private markets, including advising emerging growth companies, management teams and boards.
As a founder and company builder, Tom is passionate about helping companies align their business strategy, clinical and commercial milestones, and capital needs. He works with public and private companies to raise the equity and debt capital required to advance clinical development, support commercialization, execute strategic transactions, and create long-term shareholder value.
His experience spans private and public financings, strategic transactions and licensing matters across multiple market cycles.
For the past 15 years, Tom's primary focus has been the life sciences sector. Before founding Masterson Capital, he was a Managing Director at Allele Capital Partners. Earlier in his career, he built his foundation in wealth management and institutional sales at Raymond James and Lehman Brothers.
Tom has sourced and helped execute Series A, Series B and crossover financings for companies that later became public, including Coya Therapeutics (Nasdaq: COYA) and Xeris Biopharma (Nasdaq: XERS). This work was completed prior to the founding of Masterson Capital, while he was affiliated with other broker-dealers.
